Work continues on casemate 4, after the thunderstorms a few weeks ago water was entering through the roof of the casemate. It was discovered on the roof that the water was getting under the layers above, the roof was stripped, sealed, a new layer of bitumen applied and then 2 coats of solar reflective resin. To date we have had some rain and its stopped coming through (fingers crossed we have solved this).

But water being as it is, it decided to come through in a different area following the last lot of rain, similar action has been taken in this area and we will wait and see if its done the trick before lime plaster can be applied to the lathes where the water is coming in.

The curved timber frame for the casemate 4 back has arrived after a 4 month wait for the bespoke joinery to be made, (another great job by Faversham Joinery) it is now fitted, painted and weather proof externally, inside can be done anytime and in any weather condition. Further progress inside is also dependant on successfully getting more grants.
