Fort grounds access opportunities

The fort grounds only are available at selected days/times to view . The idea is to let the public view the grounds with the thought that if you are interested in learning more you will book yourself on either a Wednesday tour or Sunday tour. There are numerous picnic tables around the site for you to enjoy.

The grounds will be open on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday between the hours of 10am and 4pm via the pedestrian gate within the Haven holiday park. ( MID MARCH UNTIL END OF OCTOBER)

If you visit the grounds, please take note of the signage around the grounds, do not climb fencing to access areas that are fenced off for a reason, there may be a steep drop that you are not aware of that may incur injury if crossed. Slough Fort Preservation Trust take no responsibility for members of the public that ignore the signage.

The grounds are open from the beginning of our season, 10th March 2025 until the end of October 2025, with the occasional shutting of the grounds should there be machinery carrying out maintenance where it would be a safety hazard to have the public on site whilst this is carried out.
